Smile Progression

This week Audrey and Henry both lost a top tooth. Though it may seem like a natural, and somewhat inconsequential event in life, to me it symbolized the inevitable passage of time. Just when I thought my babies were at the perfect stage in life, the loss of one of their baby teeth reminds me that time is pushing us forward into  unchartered territory. All that I know now is just a taste of what is to come and though I don't feel particularly prepared for what lies ahead, I am excited about the possibilities.

Their new smiles are just a hint of the journey that awaits me. Though I hope the evolution doesn't rush by too quickly, I am happy to be along for this very meaningful and always surprising ride.
